While walking in Trondheim I found this incredible place and I wanted to have the memory of it’s beauty. Far away you can see the Fortress in Trondheim.

I am here, can’t believe it. When I look on the map, and knowing how hard it is to travel during train strikes, I am impressed. By my own luck and strength to face the problems that come in my way.So I am here:
I will not be able to travel to Bodo unfortunately and anyway I have no chance of seing the Aurora Borealis these remaining days. But lets be positive, this means I have a reason to visit Norway soon. Tromso and Lofoten Islands are...
Arrived in Trondheim after 14h15 journey. Yes, it’s long. And being in Trondheim so early is also not the best thing it could happen to me. I am so lucky that some cafés open at 7 in the morning, otherwise I would have frozen.
Enjoying last hours in Bergen. At 16:30 I will take the bus to Trondheim and I will arrive at the destination tomorrow morning at 06:45. With 87 euro (the price for the bus ticket) I have transportation and accommodation. Great deal!!
The bus ticket can be purchased only online on nor-way.no.
I totally dislike transportation by bus, but this is the only option I have during the train strike. I don’t like to repeat myself, but it’s not cool....
If you ever wondered where you can eat the best fish soup (maybe in the world?), well it’s in Bergen. So far I ate only fish soup in Bergen and still I didn’t get enough. The harbor in Bergen is probably the most photographed in the city, so I didn’t want to break the tradition:
And during the night:
Mountain Floyen is the place where you can see the entire city and the harbor. I preferred to walk, and not take the funicular....
What is really hard while travelling is leaving all the thoughts aside and just be present.
While drinking a cafe latte I just realized that the music is fantastic, the coffee delicious, that I am in Bergen, and all I could do is smile.
Every journey in life is a challenge, if everything is perfect, there are for sure hidden problems, that we cannot see yet.Being in Norway with an Interrail ticket while Norway trains are on strike with an open end is for sure a challenge. Big one actually.Right now I am in the bus from Oslo to Bergen. The train at 08:25 that I should have taken was cancelled, due to the strike. The ticket costed me 80 euros and it’s with connection, so...
Tomorrow morning I’ll be heading off to Bergen. The old norwegian guy in the dormitory (the one that explained me how to cook a soup – by the way, he is a cook ) is from Bergen. He just gave me a list with what and where to eat in Bergen. Great advice!
The Opera in Oslo is a place that amazed me, especially because is the only place until now that offered me the possibility to walk on its rooftop:
One of the most beautiful parks that I ever saw is in Oslo. And it’s not the grandeur or some impressive architecture, but the message that the parks transmits. It’s the Vigeland park that made me believe that you cannot miss it if you’re in Oslo. The message that the park transmits...
Today I found a Lofoten soup to be cooked home in a shop. Because in the hostel room there’s a kitchenette, I decided to take one and cook it in the hostel; even if I have no plan to go to Lofoten Islands this trip, at least I will taste its flavor.
So while I was struggling to understand how the soup must be cooked, and because my norwegian is not excellent ( ☺️ ) I decided to consider the soup as being instant. So what does an instant...
How to get from Oslo Airport to the Central Station:I landed late (around 21:45), so I preferred to take the easiest public transportation to the Central Station, but nit the cheapest. A ticket for Flytoget costs 180 nok (around 20 euros), but the trip is short and comfortable. And you can use the wifi. The wifi is not spectacular ad in Sweden, but better than nothing.Once I arrived at the Central Station, the only thought that I had in my mind...
A very short description of Oslo so far – it’s very cold! brrrrSo I have the perfect opportunity to see churches/museums/etc.The Dome in Oslo – free entrance:
The City Hall – free entrance (open 09:00-16:00):
The city hall is an impressive building, I was amazed by the huge and colorful paintings on the walls. The walk around the harbor was fantastic, but I froze.Street art in Oslo:Thank you very much, you are kind, but...
1. Pack lighter or less – max 6-7 kg all together
2. Never forget your ear plugs
3. Interrail is cool for country trip.
4. Never book a hostel bed in a mixed room anymore and be sure that the bed is in a 4 (or so) bed dormitory, not more.
5. Having your own bed linen and towels for travelling saves me money, and they are lightweight.
6. Learn your body, how it reacts to different temperatures to avoid overdressing.
7. Merino wool clothes are...
I walked 202 km in 10 days in Sweden. This means a medium of around 20 km per day for 10 days. Maximum was 28,5 km in one day and the minimum was 10,2 km. Not bad, for the first time.
Today was my last day in Sweden and I wanted to finish my trip in a special way. Being in Uppsala, I took the train to Arlanda Central Station to leave my backpack there and continue the journey to Stockholm. I was surprised to find that if you take a normal train to Arlanda Central Station, you need to pay a supplement fee of 120 sek at the airport. Well, I just wanted to leave my baggage, leave and return in the afternoon for the actual...
The vibe of this city is incredible. Maybe because of the university and the students, that make this city full of life. The dome entrance is free. Below some pictures:
I fail to understand the presentation:
The people in Uppsala have a very high sense of humor:Who is a good panther?
Yes, you are!
Last hours in Sweden. Thanks to flexibility that Interrail gives me, I chose to spend them in Stockholm. Great city, incredible weather. I declare myself lucky.Stockholm right now:
Totally worth it.One of my favorite views in Stockholm:
Transportation in Dalarna can be tricky, but not impossible. I walked 18km from my accomodation in Mora, to Vinas and after that to Sollerön. From Sollerön I had two options: to walk back to Mora 13km the shortest way or to take bus number 323. I found the bus a challenge, being in the countryside. So I accepted it.The website for the transportation company is dalatrafik.se
Their buses look really modern and have wifi, I was surprised....
