Güstrow

For Güstrow you just need an afternoon. I arrived at 15 in the city center, visited the castle and after that the center with the dome, and at around 18 I was back in the hotel room.

To enter the castle, I used the “7 auf einen Streich” ticket that I bought last year, and it’s still valid, so I paid no entrance. An audioguide for this castle is from my point of view good to have, I heard very interesting things about history about the castle, but also nice stories. I totally recommend it, costs 2 euro.

In this room you will find the painting of an unicorn – my favorite in this castle:

What I find fascinating about this painting, is that at that time they strongly believed in the existence of the unicorns, not because somebody saw one, but because the were mentioned in the Bible.
