I was afraid that I will not have a good opinion about Cork, because also Galway disappointed me. But I am happy that this didn’t happen, because Cork is a beautiful city. The only thing that I disliked was driving in Cork. The traffic is heavy at each hour. I arrived in Cork at 12 pm on a sunny Thursday and it was so hard to find a place to park. This forest is know for the Oratory near the lake:The entrance to the park by car costs 5 euro.There is the hotel on the lake and I decided to stay there for one night. Here is the view from my room:

I am not sure why Ring of Kerry is preferred by all tourists. From my point of view, Ring of Beara is much more prettier and Ring of Dingle is the best.So in a rainy morning, I decided to change a bit my plans of hiking with some driving, because at least I would stay dry, and it was a very good decision. Ring of Beara is impressive.

I decided to not visit the house, I found it too expensive. But the Abbey was for free and it was such a splendid experience:And the park itself:So basically for the entire experience I didn’t pay anything. The parking was also for free. The saying is true: All best things in life are free.

I drove the Gap of Dunloe – it would have been better to walk it. I found it a little challenging, with the narrow street, sometimes I had to drive very close to the stones, there were a lot of tourists walking, horses with carriages (why??), and of course the sheeps. The drive is longer than for example Connor Pass, I had to maintain the 100% focus for about 10 km. But the drive was fascinating, I am so sorry I couldn’t park...
