Glencoe

For the next three days I will be in Glencoe. In gaelic Glen means valley and Coe is the name of the river. The landscape is astounding and during my walks I saw deers in the wild, looking at me for a second with soft eyes and after that disappearing between the trees. It’s exactly how you see in the television programs with animals.

Here is a deer having lunch:

What I found interesting – he didn’t care that I and some other people were there. He had no fear.

My accommodation is in Ballachulish, about 2 km far from Glen Coe Village. This area is very expensive and I can understand why. There are a lot of tourists. But in the same time, the area is very safe. The building where I stay belongs to locals and they keep the doors unlocked. “This area is very safe, don’t worry” told me the host, with a very strong – but cute – accent, so I will have to comply. I don’t worry. The deer also didn’t worry.
