Today morning I headed on foot directly to Akihabara, the Dreamland for Gamers. There were unnumbered buildings with 6 floors each, were thousands of games, gamers were concentrated. For a Monday morning, I suppose they were still empty compared with the weekends. In one of these floors there were music games and I really liked watching a guy dancing a kind of sport dance (he was really good, probably after hours of training!!) on a Dance Game (weird, but this floor was one of the most visited today).
After that I continued to Ginza, but first I stopped at Yodobashi Camera Multimedia. This is a huge electronics store, on 8 or 9 floor, each of them with different topics, even cosmetics. I had huge fun trying one device for massaging hands.
In this place I spend more time than needed, but everything was cool. I am sorry, Star Trek fans, but there is nothing in Tokyo for you, maybe the Japanese know better :-)))
The main street at Ginza was closed for the cars (i am not sure if I was lucky or it’s always closed). Here I visited also the Uniqlo store, which had 12 floors. This is a pity, because 8 days in Tokyo are clearly not enough!! 12 floors!!
Because I was in a rush to catch my appointment at teamlab Planets, I had to leave the Heaven of Shopping.
Teamlab Planets is a place where you can interact with art. There are two Teamlab places: Planets and Borderless. Planets is more about feeling, textures, water, colors (you have to walk barefoot through the “art” and Borderless as I read is more about music and colors.
The way to the museum is fascinating: lots of skyscrapers. I had the chance to see them both on light and on dark:
The teamlab Planets was definitely something new. I cannot explain it with words and unfortunately the photos cannot say how it truly was:
All the colors that you see are lights, some on water or mirrors.
I finished the evening going again to Shibuya – this place has something that makes me wanna see it everyday. There are tons of people, but i never felt so safe. The feeling is not easy to explain, but it’s like there is where I have to be.
This is the Crossing at Shibuya again, from up. Monday at about 19:30.
Sorry, Star Trek fans, I told you …
Some videos that i made can be found here.
