Bodø and the ferryboat to Lofoten Islands

Bodø is not one of our favorite cities in Norway, but it has its own charm. And this is the place where we take the ferryboat to the Lofoten Islands. We decided it very spontaneous to leave Bodø one day before and take the only ferryboat that is going to Moskenes (harbor on the Lofoten Islands) per day, at 16:45. After we called the Ferryboat Company and ask for their advice, how to get on the ferryboat without a reservation, they recommended to drive as earliest as possible there, leave the car in the line and return one hour before the departure.

We were the 9th car without reservation in the line and managed to get on the ferryboat and after a 3h30 journey we arrived in the harbor. The drive to our cottage was very short, just 4,7 km. The place is terrific, this was a chaotic day, but we are so happy that we can spend in Å two nights. This is exactly that kind of place that people imagine when they hear about Norway and every corner looks like a postcard image.
