Rosses point
Tourists ( including me) come to this place to see the famous statue of a woman waiting on the shore for the loved one. I was sad to notice that people just drive to the statue, go out from the car, make a photo and they drive further. This place has something so special, and going there to just have the photo is a loss. I liked to walk around, check for hidden gems and what I actually discovered was a place so calm and lonely. I loved it.
Glengesh pass
Slieve League
When I drove to the viewing point, I was not sure if that is the actual place to see the cliffs, and I was not the only one. There was a parking place and cars can go higher, but I preferred to walk. The parking place is free, and there is possible to park when you’re up at the viewing point – not an actual parking place -, but for me was the easiest way to walk the 1,6km.I met two tourist that told me that they walked a bit and...
Ardara – Mahera Beach and Cave
I was at the cave early in the morning, so nobody was there – imagine yourself a beach on the moon – yeap, you have the image of the Mahera Beach.Very close to this beach is the Assaranca Waterfall – a small but noisy one.
Glenveagh National Park
Don’t drive in the park, even if the GPS is showing you the way to the castle – you are not allowed to drive in the park. I know this, because I was the only crazy person driving in a national park, and in my mind was only: “People are walking because they want to experience the park, it seems that I am the only lazy person that wants to drive to the castle”. Well … I was very confused seeing people looking at me....
Malin head
I drove from Londonderry and the drive took me 2 hours – the roads were very narrow (space for one car only) and from time to time sheeps made the drive slower – but it was funny:The Malin head was so windy, I could barely stand. But the view is amazing! There is no Cafe up there. I was the only one brave enough to go there in one beautiful rainy morning of September. When I got there, the sun was so kind to show it’s face...

The weather in Ireland is so weird. Five minutes heavy rain, after that sunny. But it’s ok, because this is the only way to have so many rainbows. Ireland is the land of rainbows.

When you travel by bus in Ireland (including Dublin), you have to challenge the bus driver to stop. Just make a short sign with the hand. Otherwise he will not stop, even if you have a big baggage, wait in the station of the bus going to the airport. He will NOT stop if you don’t make a sign, even if he already saw you. This is not nice …

National Gallery in Dublin
I recommend this museum, it’s free and you can see Monet, Picasso or Rembrandt. And many others. I was impressed by Jack Butler Yeats (the brother of the poet) and Käthe Kollwitz (see the picture below).
