Today very early in the morning I started my trip to Hakone Gora. Gora is 100 km away from Tokyo; this region is known for the hot springs.
I took first the train to Odawara. The train was incredible full for half of the time.
In the city of Odawara I found the Castle in the center, very close to the main station. It’s a reconstructed castle, finished in 2015. I wasn’t inside, because I read reviews that there are no english translations and I find this unfortunately a pity.
After the small walk I took the bus to Gora. Here I could visit the Gora Park – 550 yen (4,6 euro).
Because it started to rain really bad, I decided to go to the Guesthouse. The room here is very japanese and I was so happy to find that they have a private onsen. Of course I already tried it. The owner told be to be careful, because for Europeans it’s too hot. I answered that I love hot showers and that it will be fine. After 10 minutes in the water, I considered it too cold :))) It could have been a bit warmer :p
